Pictures and Descriptions

Four families settled in the St. Brieux, Saskatchewan, Canada area in the early 1900's. They came from Germany, Hungary, and France. Theodore Peter Schmitz (born Prussia, 1827) begins this history by coming to Minneapolis, Minnesota about 1880 with his wife Josepha, and sons Peter Theodore (1860), and John (1862). His son Peter moved to Canada about 1914 with his family. The list of family names expands from there, included by birth or marriage: Pongracz, Blandin, Leray, Austen, Bodo, and more.

This is a work in progress, and I would be happy to receive any information (or corrections), photos, and stories families would like to add.
